I kid, Carlo, I kid. Your new hair is actually a considerable upgrade on the ol’ mane, although far less comedic. Which is sad.

Carlos Tevez has proven a good muse for me, allowing multiple iterations of my vision for what Cartoon Carlos really looks like. There’s “Scent Of Carlos”, there’s “Lil Carlos” and now there’s what I like to call “Professional Carlos”, where he’s perhaps on his way to a job interview in the banking sector.

I’m still on my travels and won’t be going home till Thursday, but I’m really enjoying doing a bit of pencil and paper comic illustration again so might pop these in regularly from now on. Still, the power of the digital “undo” is acutely absent even through simple illustrations. Imperfect lines are as much a part of good art as anything else, but when you’re able to effortless draw the same line dozens of times in a matter of seconds until you get it right, it’s disconcerting, yet extremely liberating, to see those flaws on the page.
