Some rather big news on SU today as Nike has asked myself and Brooks from Dirty Tackle to premier some teaser clips for their World Cup TV ad that will air during the Champions League final on May 22nd. That’s right, you’re seeing this before anyone else, right here.

Nike is one of the few brands that genuinely turns their TV advertising into must-see entertainment so expect this to be less an ad and more a movie premiere. The fact that the World Cup is Nike Football’s biggest event of the last 4 years means you can bet that no creative or monetary expense has been spared.

The theme for the TV spot continues to be their World Cup slogan “Write the Future”, indicating some kind of alternate universe or ‘decide your destiny’ theme, and in addition to the 3 minute ad itself Nike has produced a number of teaser clips featuring their most prominent footballers like Rooney, Cristiano and Ronaldinho. Rooney’s came out already but the latter two are what Dirty Tackle and I are premiering for you today.

So check the vids out below, I’ve also posted the already-released Rooney teaser first followed by the premiere of the Ronaldinho “Write the Future” teaser. Of course Ronaldinho’s video takes on a whole new meaning now that he’s fail to make Dunga’s World Cup squad. I guess he tried to “Write The Future” but his pen ran out of ink har har har (Brooks gave me that joke, blame him). Make sure to hit Dirty Tackle to see Cristiano’s teaser premiere as well.
