If you’re unfamiliar with Monty Python classic “Parrot Sketch” I’ve embedded a popped the original clip below. Upon revisiting it for the purposes of today’s comic, I found myself mouthing along to every line. I was lucky enough to be born well after these originally aired and therefore was only exposed to the best bits of Monty Python. That’s a good thing, because a few years ago I checked out the rest of the “Flying Circus” series and found it verging on unwatchable.

The best bits, of course, are as recite-worthy now as they were in the 60s. The version below also includes an extended portion to the sketch where he travels to Bolton/Ipswich that isn’t normally included in the one most people end up seeing. A little bonus that also includes a new favourite excuse for any verbal gaffe… “It’s a pun!”
