Despite my best efforts to focus on football, I found myself taking great pleasure in the Kanye West meme that, somehow, a couple of you emailed to me yesterday. Luckily one of you was cunning enough to put the URL through a shortener first which meant the gag was preciously hidden until the very moment it was revealed. Perfect.

I found it interesting that Fernando Torres’ upcoming book basically confesses to a lovely bit of tapping up by Rafa Benitez. I’m guessing that Chelsea’s appeal for more lenient punishment for transfer violations just got a bunch of new supporters.

Oh, and one of you just sent me the below video for my “amusement”. I beg to differ greatly on our definition of that word. But if you fancy a few days of feverish, nightmare-filled sleep then feel free to watch it also.
