Studs Up

Fergie has gone on the full offensive (or damage control, depending which billboard you prefer) and it is cracking me up. The old man is still feisty as ever, and you get the sense that if he is staying on another few years to beat Liverpool’s record for league titles then he’d stay on another decade just to trounce any attempted City revolution. I would love to see City put a real run at the title, or at the very least know Arsenal off fourth, just to see the fallout amongst the managers.

I’m also almost done with reading The Beckham Experiment. I got it as a preview copy and was meant to finish it ages ago but a hectic travel and work schedule this past week has left it dragging on. It’s been a good read so far and you can expect my full review on Wednesday.

My Sunday league team is also in firm contention to picking up the summer title, which is always nice. So with both adidas and SoccerPro being kind enough to ship me a complimentary pair of the SuperFly’s and F50i’srespectively, I’m just hoping one of the two arrives in time to give me a Roy of the Rovers-like boost for the final run-in. I should probably invest in some new shin protection…
