The Premier League act like prats
More bollocks from the legal lads at the Premier League as they have decided to send the dogs after The Offside for using club crests “without permission”. They weren’t selling merch. They weren’t profiting directly off the logos. They were using them to identify club sections on the website. What’s the bloody problem?
The holy grail of marketing is when you can convert consumers into advocates. That is, people who will be so engaged in your product that they will endorse it to others under their own free will. The Premier League, it seems, is hell bent on being the first company to go around actively alienating their brand advocates by attacking anyone who posts a YouTube clip, use a club crest to show their allegiance or even post the bloody fixture list.
They are idiots and they certainly don’t deserve to manage this great sport.
