Heurelho Gomes started the season like a clown, then clawed his way back with some great performances, then got replaced by Carlo Cudicini while recovering from a variety of injuries. Returning in Spurs match against Shaktar, it seemed like a perfect opportunity for him to start with a clean slate.

Then he shat on said slate. He came out and horribly missed a cross, although he had little option after his defense completely abandoned their defensive assignments to allow a gaggle of Shaktar players run free. Worse, the Spurs fans have now turned on him and apparently believe he faked an injury right after his gaff in order to draw attention away from his mistake and drum up some sympathy instead.

Tough crowd.
