Studs Up

This week I’ll be trying out a series of “Far Side” inspired shorts. Gary Larson is a legend to me and his humour varied from the obvious to the obscure. I can’t count the number of times I laughed when no one else did, and I loved it. Great creative work requires a complete relaxation of the mind such that what comes out is a true reflection of whatever mental randomness people have going on in their head, it’s very difficult to not simply re-hash or re-do existing work and really put your own voice into something.

The Far Side is a perfect example of a creative person with a fully relaxed mind, and hopefully doing a little homage to Gary Larson will help me find my inner farmhouse-animal-obsession.
